Huawei and Shenzhen Welkin School have launched the Global Smart Education Showcase, setting a new benchmark in the digital transformation of education. The showcase was officially unveiled at Shenzhen Welkin School in the presence of more than 100 education customers and partners from China, Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia.

Senior leaders from both sides, including Vincent Liu, President of Huawei’s Global Enterprise Network Marketing & Solution Sales Department, and Gong Weidong, Principal of Shenzhen Welkin School, attended the ceremony.

Vincent Liu said the education sector is moving rapidly toward intelligent development. He stressed that Huawei will continue to innovate in campus and metropolitan education networks to support new education models across different regions.

Principal Gong Weidong highlighted the school’s transformation journey and its “One City, Two Companions, Three Collaborative Activities” model. This strategy will facilitate cross-school cooperation in teaching, research, and lesson development and overcome time and space barriers in favor of equal access to education.

It is the first showcase in the world that will use the Huawei comprehensive campus network and smart classroom solutions, which provide the primary and secondary schools with practical uses such as cloud classrooms and an IP campus network.

Shenzhen Welkin School plays a central role in China’s education reform as part of the 14th Five-Year Plan and was awarded the UNESCO Global Smart Education Innovation Prize in 2024 for its pioneering work.

A new showcase is turning theory into massive practice in smart education. Huawei stated that it will pursue its collaboration with schools and international partners to diversify this model, making sure that more students worldwide can enjoy the digital learning innovations.
