The signing took place in London, coinciding with the elevation of bilateral ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The agreement was signed by Professor Rick Bennett, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of BUV, and Professor Liz Warren, Head of International at Manchester Metropolitan’s Faculty of Business and Law. Representatives from Việt Nam’s Ministry of Education and Training, the British Council Vietnam, and the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK attended the event.
The partnership will allow more Vietnamese students to study high-quality British courses by combining Manchester Metropolitan’s experience with BUV’s modern campus. It also helps Manchester Metropolitan enter Việt Nam’s growing education market and expand in Asia.
Starting in 2026, Manchester Metropolitan will award degrees for five BUV programmes, pending approval. The programmes include four bachelor’s degrees, Banking and International Finance, Graphic Design, Business and Technology, and Illustration & Animation Design, along with a Master of Business.
All programmes will follow a dual-degree model, offering flexible study pathways aligned with students’ financial and career goals, and will comply fully with regulations from Việt Nam’s Ministry of Education and the UK’s Office for Students.
Leaders from both institutions said the partnership supports their shared goal of preparing future-ready talent and strengthening international academic ties. The LoI strengthens ongoing Việt Nam–UK cooperation and highlights education as a key part of their partnership.
With strong accreditation and growing partnerships, BUV is further establishing itself as a leading provider of British education in Việt Nam and the region.
