RCA Launches Major UK And Ireland Creative Education Network

Background : 

 The Royal College of Art has announced five new partnership agreements with leading creative education institutions across the UK and Ireland, building a new network to widen access to university study and strengthen collaboration in art and design.

The partnerships involve Arts University Plymouth, Birmingham City University, The Glasgow School of Art, Leeds Arts University and the National College of Art and Design in Dublin.

They cover teaching alignment, postgraduate application guidance and financial support, alongside deeper collaboration in research, doctoral training and staff exchange.

Arts University Plymouth and Leeds Arts University students will gain structured progression routes into relevant Royal College of Art postgraduate programmes.

Birmingham City University graduates in Photography, Product Design, and Art and Design with Creative Technologies will receive a similar route, along with a full PhD scholarship offered annually for five years.

The Glasgow School of Art partnership focuses on curriculum development and academic collaboration, while the Dublin partnership centres on sector leadership and research collaboration.

Admission through these routes is not automatic, with applicants required to meet academic, visa, language and portfolio requirements.
