Background-
A Nambour school community is celebrating after OneSchool Global received two international awards recognising its Learning to Learn Framework and workplace culture.
The network’s Learning to Learn Framework, which shapes its student-directed learning model, won a Silver A’ Design Award at the A’ Design Award and Competition, one of the world’s largest and most respected design competitions.
An international jury of academics, industry professionals and media representatives recognised the framework for its excellence in educational design and innovation.
OneSchool Global’s commitment to its people also earned recognition from the global Symbol Awards, where it won the Sustainable Workplace Culture Program award.
The honour acknowledged the organisation for building a values-driven workplace that prioritises professional growth, wellbeing, collaboration and long-term employee engagement.
The school network is among the world’s largest, delivering its student-directed learning model to 8,000 students across 120 campuses in 20 countries.
Chris O’Reilly, Acting Global Head of Education at OneSchool Global, said both awards reflect the organisation’s commitment to creating an enriching environment where students and teachers thrive.
He said the Learning to Learn framework brings the organisation’s founding vision to life, having been developed to increase student engagement and independence through a structured yet flexible model. He added that the recognition reflects the dedication of staff, the engagement of students and the organisation’s commitment to innovation.
Michael Knight, Principal of OneSchool Global’s Nambour campus, said the recognition reflects the work happening across the school community, with the framework helping students build independent thinking, creative problem solving and ownership of their learning, supported by a strong workplace culture.
Dr Selina Samuels, an international education expert and author of the framework, said it applies across all curricula and is grounded in research backed practices. She said its real innovation lies in delivering consistent teaching quality across regions while meeting each student’s individual learning needs.
